My master program in “Intercultural Competencies” at Danube University in Krems/Austria is done. The master program provided me with tools for handling the current process of change demanded by globalization. I learnt a lot about the research on relationships between the cultural majority and the immigrant minorities, ethno-sociological, philosophical, religious and psychological aspects, intercultural communication and awareness, political and economic structures, about diversity, a lot about self-management within intercultural contexts, international and intercultural management and the last module provided me with a tool for intercultural conflict transformation.
Actions and teaching in physical therapy should be based on the theory of intercultural studies, comprehensive understandings of the changing processes and working experience in this field. I hope that I aimed to improve my intercultural competencies and communication in practice and theory.
